Stability of F-biharmonic maps
This paper studies some properties of F-biharmonic maps between Riemannian manifolds. By considering the first variation formula of the F-bienergy functional, F-biharmonicity of conformal maps are investigated. Moreover, the second variation formula for F-biharmonic maps is obtained. As an application, instability and nonexistence theorems for F-biharmonic maps are given.
متن کاملMolecular Formula Identification with SIRIUS
We present results of the SIRIUS2 submission to the 2012 CASMI contest. Only results for Category 1 (molecular formula identification) were submitted. The SIRIUS method and the parameters used are briefly described, followed by detailed analysis of the results and a discussion of cases where SIRIUS2 was unable to come up with the correct molecular formula. SIRIUS2 returns consistently high qual...
متن کاملAdvanced Bwr Stability Analysis with a Reduced Order Model and System Code
The solution manifold of the system of nonlinear differential equations representing a BWR needs to be examined to understand its dynamical behavior. In particular, stable or unstable fixed points and stable or unstable oscillatory solutions (or turning points/saddle node bifurcations) are of paramount interest. In this framework integrated BWR (system) codes and simplified BWR models (reduced ...
متن کاملSirius ASTRONOMY AND ASTROPHYSICS Search for companions around Sirius ⋆
Since the discovery of Sirius-B about 130 yr ago, there have been several claims of a possible second companion around the brightest star Sirius-A. Such a companion could, in particular, be responsible of the suspected colour change of the star, now strongly suggested from two independent historical sources. We reported here on a new observation of the sky region around Sirius, to search for su...
متن کاملZinc forms complexes with higher kinetical stability than calcium, 5-F-BAPTA as a good example.
Increasing interest is focused on the role of zinc in biological systems. A rapidly growing family of DNA-binding proteins contains "zinc-fingers", where zinc is bound to cysteine or histidine residues. On the other hand zinc is able to displace calcium from its binding sites and in this way it may modify calcium-mediated cellular processes. In the present report dissociation rates of Zn2(+)- a...
